Maine Coon Kitten Paw

Here’s the newest addition to the family. Check out the size of those paws! In these photos, it’s playing in the laundry pile with a plastic milk jug ring. I had a Maine Coon a few years back… I’ve missed having a cat like that. We’ve already had to dissect the couch to rescue the kitten when it got inside and couldn’t find a way out. My calico cat has hissed a couple of times, but she hasn’t peed on my laptop or anything, so I think we’re good.

Atlantis Launch

Here’s a photo from my camcorder at the May 11, 2009 launch of Atlantis for STS-125. The IMAX team was just to my right. Their 3-D cameras are absolutely amazing. They filmed the press that was in front of the countdown clock, so maybe you’ll see me in the Hubble 3-D movie!

Green Flash at Cocoa Beach, Florida

Green Flash

Green Flash

This is how I remember the green flash in Nebraska… the whole top of the sun is green with a green halo above it. The photo is from sunrise this morning in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Somehow the water seems colder than in Myrtle Beach. I never seem to get myself to the beach early enough at home to photograph the sunrise.
